Support for classic controller and wiimote is in last testing stages and is comming soon.

I don't have plans to open-source this app.

Support for Sense UI is questionable. There are custom ROMs surfacing that users report this app working on.

Once 3.0 is published, there will be support for remapping, so most games (including gameloft) should work.

Mice are not currently supported in Android. Even if you connect a real mouse (bluetooth mice are connectable) it will act as a very sensitive trackball, not as a mouse.

thank you very much for making such a great app!
Unfortunately I have a Samsung Galaxy S handset with the original ROM Image.
(GT-I9000, 2.1-update1, I9000XXJF3
Kernel 2.6.29, ECLAIR)

It seems that Samsung has done the same "nasty" things to bluetooth like HTC
and so i get "Error no -1"

I wanted to report you this so you can add this handset to your not workling list.

When using with the Classic Controller it seems like the analog sticks only recognize Up / Down / Left / Right. I do not get a different "Button Pressed / Button Released" for Up+Left / Up+Right / Down+Left / Down+Right.

In other words, it only recognizes 4 directions instead of 8. This makes playing SNES games difficult. This could be a Wii Classic Controller issue, but I doubt it.

I hope this is something that can be addressed in the next version.

When you bend the stick to the upper-right corner, both right and up events are triggered at the same time. This is the same as if you would press up and right at the same time on your original nes/snes gamepad (those gamepads had 4-directional d-pads, not 8)

I finally got WiimoteController going on my Droid X and took it out for a test run with Magic Sword. My keys appear to be mapped backwards and was wondering if someone would be kind enough to let me know their mapping preferences? I seem to be having a specific issues with Jumping and Firing.

I have tried to install on my htc evo 4g and It would not see my controller. I have the new froyo 2.2 update. I am also running damage control 3.5 custom rom. Is this not compatible?

@Shawn: This does not work on HTC devices with Sense UI, look at my answer to djanon.

@djanon: By default, this can not be made to work with HTC devices with Sense UI. The only way to make this work is to root your devices and flash a custom ROM that is "vanilla", that is, it comes directly from Google's code, not from HTC, and thus it doesn't have neither Sense UI, nor the underlying components that make this app not work. If you're going to flash your device with a custom ROM, know that it voids your device's warranty, and that of course you won't have Sense UI afterwards. Oh, and a tip: cyanogenmod should work for this just fine.

Another quick question for you please...I just purchased the MSI BGP-100 Bluetooth Gamepad for my HTC Desire. Do you know how I would connect this? As I am having problems, the driver CD that comes with the gamepad doesn't have the option to install on the Desire and when I try to connect direct to the phone it says "Paired but not connected"...

Great application, I REALLY loved it on my G1 and my old Nexus One, worked great without any problems! However I've got a new Samsung Fascinate (Galaxy S for Verizon) and find it is not supported. Is this like the Sence UI phones, and a custom ROM should resolve the issue? Or is there a more hardware related problem at the heart of the issues?

Also as a note I'm happy to test any attempts to make it Galaxy S compatible!

Which API does an app have to support to enable wiicontrol-inputmethod with your app?

shagrath has recently released sourcecode for uae4droid, and I wanted to look into enabling wiicontrol for this amiga-emulator. cool enhancement would be 4-player-support with 4 wiimotes, each mapped to a virtual joystick in uae4droid, this would enable dynablaster, like on the original amiga, with a parallel port joystick-adapter.

Are you aware that legally you have to open source this app? Your libwiicandroid.so links against libbluetooth.so which is GPL software, and therefore your library must be GPL also.

Sadly (for me at least) the Samsung Galaxy S II appears to fall into the not supported category.

When I try to pair I get the error:

An error occured. Last error: No route to host

It's a great effort by the author so thank you for the work you have put into this. I was really excited to be able to play Super Smash Bros on my SGS2 with my Wiimote but sadly, it is not to be.

PS Occurred has a double "r" not a single one like you spelled it in the error message.
